Oh Summer, where art thou?
We’re one week in, and it’s good to be back! Last week’s false-summer vibes have been replaced with what feels like a return to eternal spring, but we’re undaunted!
Cold Brews and Iced Americanos have been shuffled a little further back in the fridge, and we’ve made space on the brew bar for our iconic Turmeric Latte (a top favourite during our Beirut days) and Matcha Latte. We’ve also added a couple of house-made sweet treats (a Pistachio Ashta Semolina Cake and Rose Jam Cheesecake) to help beat those post-Bank Holiday blues!
Weekday lunches are looking wholesome and flavourful, and each of our house-made salads can receive a springtime twist (and a bit of heat) with a side of muhammara (hearty walnut and roasted red pepper dip) on the side.
If you’re in for an early lunch, you may be lucky enough to snag a hearty basturma and date almond jam sandwich before they sell out – they taste even better when given a couple of minutes on our countertop grill!
Our friends are already back on the beaches in Lebanon again. Meanwhile, we’ll impatiently await another uptick in temperatures next week before summer finally, and fully, returns to Fitzrovia.
